Small Dogs are Mutants

Dogs vary greatly in size, from Chihuahua to Great Dane, yet they are all part of the dog, or wolf, created kind; they can all interbreed. Researchers have found that the small breeds of dogs all have something in common, a mutation in the gene that codes for an important growth regulator. This prevents the small dogs from growing to greater size.

Mutations do that sort of thing, they destroy genetic information. Sometimes those destructions are useful to us, producing cute miniature dogs that don't cost that much to feed. But mutations can't produce the complex information needed to produce the growth regulator in the first place.

Evolutionists say mutations changed dinosaurs into birds and apes into people. But how can mutations, which destroy information, do that sort of thing? Modern biology really shouts creation not evolution.

Why do we love people we're related to? Compared to strangers, why do we feel such a deep sense of connection with our family members? Sure, they're nice to us, we take care of each other, and we often live with them, but there has to be a deeper biological reason. That reason, unsurprisingly is evolution. In this video, I explain why taking care of our family, or even dying for them, makes sense in the eyes of evolution.

Surtsey Still Surprises
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-06
Formed by a volcanic eruption in 1963, the Island of Surtsey, near Iceland, has intrigued scientists because it looks like landscapes most think are much older. According to a New Scientist article, the Island has excited geographers, who marveled at canyons, gullies and other land features that usually take tens of thousands or millions of years to form were created in less than a decade.

Biologists have also marveled at how quickly plants, animals and birds have colonized the island. The Icelandic institute of natural history put it his way, "We now have a fully functional ecosystem on Surtsey."

If you were to visit Surtsey and were unaware it was less than fifty years old, I wonder how old you imagine it to be? The next time you hear that a particular landscape took millions of years to form, remember the Island of Surtsey, because things can look much older than they really are.

Mother Nature clearly had some interesting plans for these creatures.
Blue Lobster
Many lobsters have a bluish tint, but only 1 in 2 million lobsters have this magnificent hue.
Chimera Cats
Venus took the internet by storm as the cat whose face was evenly split down the middle. Chimeras, or single organisms containing two different types of DNA, are actually kind of common in cats. However, it is really Venus's one blue eye that is unusual. Most cats have to be mostly white or Siamese to have blue eyes.
White Gorilla
White Gorilla

Snowflake is the only instance of an albino gorilla that has ever been found. He lived from 1966 to 2003 in the Barcelona Zoo. He was euthanized after being diagnosed with a skin cancer most likely related to his albinism.
Piebald Python
Piebald Python

Piebaldism is a genetic disorder that produces effects similar to albinism, or a lack of pigment in the skin or eyes. However, animals affected by piebaldism don't have the vision problems of albinos.
Vitiligo
Vitiligo

Vitiligo occurs in both people and animals. It causes patches of skin to lose their pigment. Some cases look simply like white spots, while others are more pronounced, such as this dog.
Frank and Louie: The Two-Faced Cat
Frank and Louie: The Two-Faced Cat

Janus cats, so named for the Roman god with two faces, usually live only a few days. Frank and Louie, however, lived a pretty normal life, making it to the age of 15 before passing away on December 4th, 2014. They each had their own mouth and nose but shared one of their eyes and had one brain. Only one of the faces ate.
Brown Panda
Brown Panda

Why this particular colony of pandas is brown is not clear, but scientists think that their coloring could be due to a genetic mutation, plus their particular diet. They live in the Qinlig Mountains.
White Lions
White Lions

White lions are not true albinos; rather, both parents carried a recessive color inhibitor gene. In 2012, 5 cubs were born this way, and you can see them in the Yalta Zoo in the Ukraine.
Cerberus Frog
Cerberus Frog

A student discovered a three-headed frog in the United Kingdom in 2004. While the school captured the frog, it later escaped, so not a lot about this strange mutation is known, except that its eyes and legs seemed to work normally.
Squittens
Squittens

Despite the name, squittens are not actually a cross between squirrels and cats. These cats often resemble squirrels because they have short front paws, making them rely on their hind legs for stability. Depending on the severity of their radial hypoplasia, they have to hop (much like kangaroos) or exclusively use their hind legs.

SETI -- not able to recognize intelligent life?SETI -- not able to recognize intelligent life?
SETI -- not able to recognize intelligent life?
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-06
For many years, radio telescopes have been scanning the heavens as part of a program known as SETI. SETI stands for the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.

They hope that one day they'll stumble across a coded message—or information—from outer space. Then we'll know for sure that there's intelligent life 'out there', because only an intelligent being could have sent such a coded message.

The irony is that SETI enthusiasts are inconsistent in the way they use this criterion. If they swapped their radio telescopes for a molecular biology lab and considered DNA, they'd discover encyclopedic quantities of coded information. Yet if someone suggests this coded information points to an intelligent source, they are dismissed as an idiot.

The SETI program recognizes that only intelligent minds can produce complex coded messages. Why is the DNA information in living things treated differently? Is it because the intelligence responsible must be the Creator-God of the Bible?

Cat Gives Birth To Chihuahua In China The Stunned Owner Claims - Extreme Animal Births
AmazingWorldNews 📤 3 years ago 2015-05-11
Cat gives birth to dog: Chinese man has been left stunned after his cat allegedly gave birth to a Chihuahua - The 74-year-old owner Jia Weinuan has found himself at the centre of a media storm after claiming he personally delivered the Chihuahua puppy from his pregnant cat.

Despite its feline origins, the one-month-old animal looks more and more like a Chihuahua as it grows up, according to People's Daily Online.

Jia lives with his partner, two cats and five dogs in the Kui Yuan district of Xuzhou.

He is certain that the little creature is not the product of interbreeding, as all the dogs are female and none of them are Chihuahuas.

The mother - a three-year-old American Shorthair called Niuniu - rarely leaves the house so she would not be meeting with strange dogs outside.

Although Jia's other cat is a male Thai breed, called Dongman, the father of the controversial litter is actually a male Shorthair belonging to a friend.

He has even argued with his family over the bizarre birth, as family members visit and immediately notice the animal's uncanny resemblance to a dog.

All the other kittens in the litter have already been homed and nobody is willing to offer a home to the 'Chihuahua'.

'A dog born from a cat is not a good omen. I will keep it for now and see what happens. But I am 74 years old and not a person who likes to lie,' said Jia.

'I have never heard of dogs and cats cross-breeding, but I really did deliver this 'Chihuahua' personally.'

Sickle Cell Anemia -- not evidence for evolutionSickle Cell Anemia -- not evidence for evolution
Sickle Cell Anemia -- not evidence for evolution
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-06
In some parts of Africa, it is actually an advantage to have mutated, oddly-shaped red blood cells.

This condition, known as sickle cell anemia, is usually a disadvantage, but, ironically, it can actually help protect someone from malarial infection because a sickled red blood cell is less appetizing for the malaria parasite.

Many people mistakenly view this sort of change as an example of evolution in action—because a mutation in DNA has made people better adapted to their environment.

But if microbes really did turn into mankind—which is what evolution teaches—this would require the addition of new DNA information to turn the relatively simple genome of a microbe into the vastly more complicated one of a person.

In the case of sickle cell anemia, the opposite has happened, because DNA information has been corrupted and lost, not gained, because the crippled blood cells are less able to transport oxygen.

Origin of Flight -- evolved four times?
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-07
You've probably heard the saying that lightning never strikes twice. This means that highly unlikely events, if they do occur, won't happen again. But it appears that in a certain area of evolutionary biology, lightning has, in fact, struck four times!

Birds, some extinct reptiles, insects and bats could or can fly. But the anatomy and physiology of these creatures is substantially different and suited to flight in different ways. Evolutionary scientists who have studied the origin of flight do not claim that an ancient flying creature gave rise to all these creatures—instead, they propose something even more incredible: that flight has evolved independently four different times!

I wonder what the Wright Brothers, who were inspired by God's design of flying creatures, would think about the idea that flight originated on four separate occasions without any forethought or planning.

100 years of dog breeding is killing dogs and making mutants, scientists say
Esoteric Detective 📤 2 years ago 2016-03-09
Dogs breeding is slowly mutating and disfiguring dogs and some of these changes have caused these animals unbearable pain.

Some breeds are partially susceptible to certain hereditary defects and illnesses.

For example, retrievers are prone to inherited eye disorders such as juvenile cataracts.

Chronic eczema is common among German Shepherds and The lead leading cause of death among English Bulldogs is cardiac arrest, cancer and old age.

The Pug's curled tail, although humans think is cute, is actually a genetic defect that leads to paralysis.

Dachshunds are prone to problems with their legs and a number of problems by inbreeding, and so on.

James A. Serpell, a professor of Animal Ethics and Welfare at the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine, said on the subject:

'Nowadays, many breeds are highly inbred and express an extraordinary variety of genetic defects as a consequence: defects ranging from anatomical problems, like hip dysplasia, that cause chronic suffering, to impaired immune function and loss of resistance to fatal diseases like cancer,'

What do you guys think? Isn't it crazy how much we have changed dogs through breeding even in the last 100 years? If they have changed so much even in the last 100 years, what will they be like in another 100 years?

Chihuahua Sõprade Liit (The Union of the Friends of Chihuahuas) in Estonia with it's partners organized the third annual charity dog fashion show Koertemood 2014 (Dog Fashion 2014). This year's event raised funds for Imeloomade Selts - Estonian charity organization that helps injured wild animals. Chihuahuas wore clothes and accessories from different designers and gave their best to make the show memorable. There was a large audience and the show was a success.

Chihuahuas from Chihuahua Sõprade Liit have trained in training sessions where small dogs can learn tricks and run through a custom-made miniature agility course. We also teach chihuahuas how to solve funny and educating puzzle games meant for dogs. These pups like to give back and so they’ve performed at various charity events - for children without parental care at SOS Children’s Village and at dog match shows and other dedicated events helping to raise money for homeless dogs. As these dogs are well-trained and –behaved a lot of them also have a considerable modelling and acting careers posing at designer dog clothing runway shows and advertisements as well as other ads and appearances in Estonian TV shows and even movies.

------------------------------------------------

Chihuahua Sõprade Liit korraldas koos partneritega juba kolmandat aastat heategevusliku moeetenduse "Koertemood 2014". Sellel aastal toetasime Imeloomade seltsi, kus metsloomad saavad traumajärgselt taastuda enne metsa tagasiminemist.

Sea Spiders -- no change over 160 million yearsSea Spiders -- no change over 160 million years
Sea Spiders -- no change over 160 million years
CMIcreationstation 📤 5 years ago 2013-03-06
Scientists studying fossil 'sea spiders' from 'Jurassic' rock found they are just the same as today's sea spiders. By evolutionary reckoning, that's no change in 160 million years.
In that supposed time, evolutionists say, most of the dinosaurs, birds, many fish and virtually all mammals have evolved—all by natural processes. From finches to albatrosses, and mice to elephants—they all made themselves by evolutionary processes. They also say most of the flowering plants evolved too. And yet the sea spiders haven't changed in all that time! Curious isn't it?
The Bible tells us in Genesis chapter 1 that God created plants to produce seed according to each kind created. And He created sea life and creeping things 'after their kind' also. This is the most-established principle of biology: that living things produce offspring like themselves. These sea spiders illustrate this biblical truth.

PRA - genetic disorder of dogs (Miniature dachshund)
jungsol29 📤 7 years ago 2011-05-02
His name is SOL , three years old miniature Dachshund.
His eyes can't see almost anything because of genetic disorder called "PRA".
PRA is a sickness that can be easily prevented by the inspection before dogs breed.
But, in Japan, this inspection is not done by most breeders.
It is human that deprived these dog's eyesight.
But Only human can love them ,and protect them.

Light to dogs in Japan. that's my wish.
thanks.

Extreme dog breedingExtreme dog breeding
Extreme dog breeding
Frida 📤 7 years ago 2011-12-15
WATCH THE NEW VIDEO: "How we improved dogs". It's my new, better attempt at the same thing.

This video took me about three days to make, and I feel I had to do it.
Now, I'm not bashing any breed or dog here, I'm "bashing" the people who own and breed them to be this way.

About the Shar-Pei eye tacking - yes I know it is TACKING, but a one-letter-mistake in a 9-minute video when English is not my native language, I think is quite acceptable.

Oh and about the Afghan hound - I don't know how many times I've got the complaint "That's not an Afghan, that's a SALUKI!", but no, it is an Afghan, and here is the proof:
http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Pietoro/media/Dog%20Breed%20Historical%20Pictures/Afghan%20Hound/1900Afghan.jpg.html?sort=9&o=2
http://www.afghanhoundtimes.com/shahz2p.htm

The breeds I found pictures of but that didn't make it were the Boxer, Borzoi, Bearded Collie, Dogue de Bordeaux, Dachshund and Irish Setter. Then of course MANY more breeds have changed for the worse, but perhaps I couldn't find a good "before" picture.

And I didn't have more time in the video, anyway, which is why I had to cut a few breeds out, and it still became rushed.
About the "disease-texts" - I know they are just flying by but they are more to prove a point than meant to be read completely. If you want to really read them, then pause the video.

The sources? Books, Kennel Club homepages, breed-specific sites (written by people who really know the breeds)...

Like I said, I have nothing *against* ANY dog breed.
Just *some* of the people who own and breed them.

Basset Hound - Awful, and just more of the bad excuses of the show breeders. "They have that skin so they can turn more easily in the bushes" - right... "They have skin folds over their eyes and ears long enough to step on so they should only focus on their sense of smell" - right...

Chow Chow - There's no justification for breeding a dog like that. Where are the eyes? Why the exaggerated coat (which puts some dogs into heat stroke)? Why the straight hind legs?

Shar-Pei - One sad story. Take a look at the Thai Ridgeback Dog - then look at the traditional Shar-Pei. Look at the TRD's puppies - they look like Shar-Pei almost, don't they?
Those are the wrinkles people exaggerated because they wanted their dogs wrinkly as adults too.
AT LEAST 40-50% of SP puppies has to have their eyes "tacked", meaning, sewn and attached to the skin of the forehead or neck, to avoid them getting really bad entropion at a very young age.
How can anyone justify this?

Pekingese - Now... what does the standard say... Oh, yes. "Nose: Not too short", "Muzzle: Must be evident, but may be relatively short", "Hair: Moderately long", "Length and volume of coat should neither impair the activity of the dog nor obscure the shapeliness of body. Excessive coat must be heavily penalised."
Can the Pekingese judges and breeders read?

Mastino Napoletano: What a beautiful dog this was. I say this as an owner of one of the original mastiff breeds, and I would love to have a Mastino, had they existed like they were sixty years ago.
Basically all molossers can trace their heritage back to the roman arenas, but no molosser has owners more keen to illustrate this heritage than the Mastino.
And no other molosser has evolved away from that heritage more than the Mastino. They are but a shadow of their past.

English Bulldog - Probably the dog farthest away from the original shape, of all the breeds on this Earth. Don't get me wrong, some look fairly good, not all are horribly sick, but seriously... as long as dogs with grotesque, oversized heads, narrow hips, horrible hip dysplasia, heart diseases, noses at most one centimeter long, and airways so tight and deformed they constantly snore and struggle to breathe are awarded at dog shows - I see no hope for this breed.
How anyone can breed animals who can barely move freely, breathe freely and mate and give birth without insemination and C-section with their conscience intact is beyond me.

This is animal cruelty.
Animal cruelty which is completely legal, and even supported by lots and lots of people.
I'm going to get even more harsh and say - dog fighting. That's a horrible practice that puts millions of dogs into horrible pain every year.
This is not much better.

Now, like I said in the video, not all of these dogs are sick, and not all of the "good" examples are healthy, definitely not. But - and this is also why I finished the video with a picture of a wolf - the wolf's shape is how nature decided this species is to be constructed.

You can move away from that shape somewhat without it causing any harm, but the farther away from the original shape you go, the higher the cost will be - for the dogs.

There are no excuses for this.

Dogs are our loyal companions who share our environment, food, and even some diseases. Yet, purebred dogs represent only a quarter of the approximately 1 billion dogs worldwide. Where do they come from, and how did they evolve from their wild wolf ancestors? Jacques and Irene visit Adam Boyko, whose team at Cornell University has collected genetic samples from village dogs in 38 countries. Surprisingly, village dogs did not originate from purebred dogs. Find out how these studies offer clues about ways dog genetics can be used to improve dog health and even human health.

Small Dogs are Mutants by CMIcreationstation
