Journalist and Researcher Richard Milton presents a case that what we have been taught about Darwin's theory of evolution is totally wrong and that this most fundamental belief with respect to human origins should be completely re-evaluated by main stream scientific and academic institutions. Author of the book "Shattering The Myths of Darwinism," Richard Milton does not represent the Creationist movement either. He simply states, that Darwin's theory of evolution does not stand up to logical scientific scrutiny. What if we could find one single equation that explains every force in the universe? Dr. Michio Kaku explores how physicists may shrink the science of the Big Bang into an equation as small as Einstein's "e=mc^2." Thanks to advances in string theory, physics may allow us to escape the heat death of the universe, explore the multiverse, and unlock the secrets of existence. While firing up our imaginations about the future, Kaku also presents a succinct history of physics and makes a compelling case for why physics is the key to pretty much everything.

In this esipode: A viewer request to talk about "molecular clocks" inspires us to get geneticist Dr. Kevin Anderson on the show. In the mailbag we deal with the red herring that there's "not enough water on the planet for a world-wide flood."

I recently met the great Ian Juby, aka Wazooloo, and I asked him the greatest question of our time: does the Earth revolve around the Sun? Or vice versa? His answer? He is sitting on the fence. He isn't certain if we live in a geocentric or heliocentric world! Who would have thought? He hadn't thought yet that gravity was an important factor. When I asked him about gravity, his answer was "What of it?"

Finally had some time to toy around with my old lithobrakes idea.
It's kinda usable but still very experimental, ugly part placeholders and so on.

But already a lot better than my previous test:

Global Problems of Population Growth (MCDB 150)

The idea that "life begins at conception" is not a scientific one. Since the disproof of 'spontaneous generation' (1668-1859), we have known that life only derives from life. Life arose billions of years ago and has continued since as a cycle. Assigning a beginning to a cycle (like the year) is arbitrary. The Bible describes the cycle as "Dust to Dust." Exodus describes a forced abortion as a property crime, but taking the life of the mother as a capital crime. The New Testament does not refer to abortion.

cryocell2008 📤 10 years ago 2008-03-20
C'elle's exclusive and revolutionary service provides women with the unique opportunity to collect and preserve vital stem cells that can be harvested from the body's menstrual fluid during the menstrual cycle. Until now, menstrual blood has typically been discarded as unsanitary waste. However, exciting new research shows that menstrual fluid contains self-renewing stem cells that can be easily collected, processed and cryo-preserved for potential cellular therapies that may emerge in the future. The C'elle menstrual stem cell comes from the uterine lining (endometrium) that is shed as part of a woman's menstrual period. These menstrual stem cells are unique because they have many properties and characteristics similar to both bone marrow and embryonic stem cells; they multiply rapidly and can differentiate into many other types of stem cells such as neural, cardiac, bone, fat, cartilage and possibly others; demonstrating great promise for future use in clinical regenerative medical therapies. Preliminary research suggests that in addition to potential use by the donor, these stem cells may possibly be used as well to benefit other family members who are genetically related to the donor, such as perhaps a parent, sibling or child.
